About Search & Rescue (SAR) Training Australia

Search & Rescue (SAR) Training Australia is a Division of ECIR Pty Ltd.

Established in 2002 SAR Training Australia offers specific training programs to the search, rescue, emergency medical system and the aviation and maritime industries.

Our client list includes:

• The Australian Defence Force,
• The Australian Federal Police,
• Members of the Australian emergency service organisations,
• Foreign national search and rescue organisations including MRCC Port Moresby PNG, MRCC Mombasa Kenya and MRCC Honiara Solomon Islands,
• Foreign defence forces and emergency services,
• Barrick Exploration,
• Origin Energy and,
• Various private companies both in Australia and overseas.

The strength of SAR Training Australia over other service providers is the depth of knowledge and experience our personnel bring from actual operational experience in the field of search and rescue.

SAR Training Australia’s instructional staff are subject matter experts in their own right and have devoted the majority of their working careers to the pursuit of excellence in search and rescue management, operations and training. Our staff are qualified instructors with many years experience in the development and delivery of competency based search and rescue training and assessment.

Training Partnership - LifeFlight Training Services     -     Registered Training Organisation 2762

SAR Training Australia is a delivery partner of LifeFlight Training Services, the training arm of the LifeFlight Group. LifeFlight Training Services is a nationally recognised registered training organisation (RTO). In partnership with LifeFlight, and LifeFlight Training Services, SAR Training Australia provides high quality competency based vocational training under Australian Quality Training Framework standards.

LifeFlight Training Services and Search & Rescue (SAR) Training Australia collectively train more than 3000 pilots, aircrew and search and rescue specialists each year both locally and internationally in a variety of aero medical, survival and search and rescue specific programs.

LifeFlight Air Ambulance & Medical Services - International Medical Retrievals

LifeFlight represents one of Australia’s largest air medical retrieval operators, carrying out more than 3000 domestic and international missions each year.

LifeFlight Medical Services specialises in the recruitment, training and provision of critical care doctors and medical support staff to the aero medical environment.

LifeFlight Air Ambulance Services incorporates the LifeFlight Group's world class medical model of a critical care doctor and paramedic on board every mission in all air medical services.
